The airport is 6.5 km from the city center. Buses run from the airport to the bus terminal and to the center.

If you arrive by car, please be aware that there will be traffic restrictions in some places in Aalborg city centre due to the parades. See more at trafikken.dk or view our map with an overview and alternative routes at aalborgkarneval.dk/traffic.

Aalborg Carnival is the opportunity to forget everyday life and be just who you want to be.

However, political or commercial marketing via banners etc. are not allowed. In addition, the applicable Danish legislation must of course always be followed.

It is possible to participate in the parade if you are disabled or have special needs. In the first part of the parade from Nørresundby there is a disabled section with volunteer guards who can assist if needed.

The Loyalty Wristband can be purchased from the following retailers from the beginning of April (exact date will follow):

7-Eleven – Please note that only a selection of 7-Eleven stores carry carnival wristbands. Click here to see which stores.

Fri Bar wristbands are sold in all 7-Eleven stores in Aalborg city centre.

By purchasing the Loyalty wristband, you also get free access to the Kids Carnival for you and a child up to 12 years of age.

On the day of the carnival, the price of the wristband increases by 100DKK.

Kildeparken opens at 11:00.

Kildeparken close at 23:00.

It is not permitted to bring your own drinks to the party in Kildeparken. Everyone is checked at the entrances and any drinks are confiscated.

Bar range:

It is not allowed to bring food in Kildeparken. There are a lot of opportunities to get refueled by all the various food stalls.

There is a small selection of tobacco available in all bars in Kildeparken.

In the park it is possible to pay with various payment cards. We receive all the popular debit and credit cards such as Dankort, Visa, Mastercard, Visa Electron, Maestrocard and Diners Club. If your card is not on the list, write to info@aalborgkarneval.dk and ask if it is something you can use.

We do not take Mobilepay or other forms of mobile payment.

We recommend that you are at least 16 years old to participate in the party in Kildeparken.

Gas and barbecues are not allowed at Camp Carnival.

Use of open fire (including mosquito lights, candles, etc.) is strictly prohibited.

Aalborg Carnival reserves the right to check luggage, tents etc.

There is no way to connect electricity to the tents at Camp Carnival.

Sofas, refrigerators / freezers, generators, pavilions, tarpaulins and the like, must not be brought to the camping grounds for safety reasons.

Dogs are not allowed.

At Camp Carnival we will be upholding one of the oldest carnival traditions – the breakfast!

We will be setting up a large common breakfast table where you can start the carnival party with the other camp guests. This will be a small continental breakfast with a “pick me up” 😉

Serving will stop at 9.00.

Need help with your costume? – Ready for the parade!

During and after the breakfast you will be able to get some assitance with the finishing touches of your costume. We will provide face paint, and you can fix the last parts of your costume with glue guns provided by us.

Camp Carnival parade – The first parade!

We will begin the first carnival parade of the day together! We will leave the camp at 9.30

There will be music for our parade when we walk towards the three different paradestarts via Vesterbro.

You can decided for yourselves which of the three you would like to start at, or just go with the flow and follow us.

All of saturday

Camp Carnival will be open all day if you should need to come back to rest and take a break from the party in the park. Your tent is only 300 meters away from Kildeparken.

Sunday

Hangover lounge in the lounge area for all the camp guests.

There will be half brice on everything in the bar and we will provide 1 free redbull and a bag of popcorn pr person. Crisps will be sold for only 10 kr.

Clean up the camp! 

We will help eachother to clean the tent areas before departure.

Remember that the camp site is not a ”party” area due to sound restrictions because of the neighbours. 

It is possible to use lockers for valuables as well as for charging your phone.

There is no access for cars at the camp itself. Overview of access conditions and directions are updated as soon as possible.

Tent sizes:

There has been calculated around 3 square meters for 2 persons. If you are traveling a larger group you can combine this space and etc. bring a 10person tent.

Setup:

Never put your tent up on the fire paths

Tents must be within the marked areas

Tents outside the marked areas will immediately be taken down

Tent size must adhere to the goals in the assigned space.

Cleaning:

Please clean up after yourself, and take your tents with you.

There is no way to connect electricity to the tents at Camp Carnival. Phones can be charged in locked lockers.

It is allowed to bring your own food and drinks into Camp Carnival. There are plenty of supermarkets in the area where you can buy provisions. Ask your hosts about guiding you to the nearest supermarket.

The noise limit is set as for ordinary campsites.

As with ordinary campsites, there must be quiet after 10 pm. That means that no music can be played from larger speaker systems. Our guards will ask you to subdue if it annoys neighbors too much.

Free bar includes all you can drink Heineken & Mokaï (cider) as well as surprises along the way, and everything is cold all day. The trucks open half an hour before the parade starts and the last round is served when we reach Hotel Hvide Hus.

Be aware that only one item is delivered at a time.

• Free bar does NOT give access to the event in Kildeparken. The Loyalitetsarmbånd does. So remember both!

• Free bar applies ONLY in connection with the parade, and ends at Hotel Hvide Hus

• You must be over 18 years of age to purchase Free Bar

• REMEMBER ID – If there is the slightest doubt, we will check!

• No distribution to others. If this happens, we will cut your bracelet.

• If you need help during parade start, you can turn to the parade guards, who is wearing red coveralls or at first aid posts

Gabels Torv at 10:00

The parade starts at Gabels Torv and goes via Algade and Boulevarden towards J.F. Kennedys Plads and through the DSB tunnel to Kildeparken.

The Enchanted Park is open from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

It is allowed to bring a small food basket or similar with you and settle under the beautiful trees in Kildeparken.

You are not allowed to bring your own drinks. 

There are food & drink stalls in the entire park.

If you lost something, you can contact the info booth in Kildeparken, which will inform you if something has been found.

Lost & found will be handed over to the lost property office at the police in Aalborg after the Kids Carnival. If they cannot help you in the info booth, they are the ones you need to get hold of and not us. Contact information can be found here:
